Ritz was one of the first restorations I ever did on the very old pinball machines. One of the first articles I ever wrote was about that restoration and I laugh every time I go back and read it. I am still uncertain how some parts of it work and need to go back and examine it again.
For example, what are the 2, 15, and 25 for as displayed in the bottom windows? What happens when you win by matching the numbers?
When doing one of my early restoration research efforts on this machine at the patent office, I found a Stoner patent for Turf Champs. I was fascinated by the engineer's description of the goals for the game and was interested in buying the game. The opportunity came many years later and I now have a Turf Champs awaiting restoration.
