Spilhaus Clock

Spilhaus Clock mechanism, clock and gears

I saw the Spilhaus Clock at my wife's grandparents before we were married and admired it. My wife gave it to me as a wedding present. Later, when I discovered one of the Nylon gears was split, I had it serviced at Edmunds Scientific. Later, when trying to source another gear, Edmunds informed me they no longer could repair the clock.

Because of my extensive article on the clock, I was approached by an owner with the same problem. If you look closely, you will see the gear in the upper left is split. As the Nylon shrinks, it splits on the metal collar. I now have a reliable source for gears although they are expensive.
